Brooke Tuley
and the Moon Travelers
Brooke Tuley is a Kansas City–based songwriter creating poetic Americana through deeply collaborative music and visual storytelling projects rooted in community, memory, and place.
Brooke has been making music since her teenage years—moving through DIY punk spaces, college campuses, art galleries, and festivals such as CMJ and SXSW. Now in her early forties, she writes from a place of reflection and renewal, exploring the spaces between what was and what remains.

Brooke Tuley & the Moon Travelers is a collaboration-led project guided by Tuley’s songwriting and vision, featuring a rotating cast of musicians and creative partners. The work embraces impermanence, allowing each recording and performance to be shaped by the people and moments that pass through it.

Her debut full-length album, Chase Me, was written in the wake of losing her parents and a mentor, alongside the rediscovery of young love. It is a heartfelt collection that holds space for grief, transformation, and the quiet magic of everyday life.​

Chase Me was recorded in the Tuley family’s Kansas City basement studio, Purple Sky Blues, with her husband and longtime collaborator, Mike Tuley, serving as sound engineer and multi-instrumentalist. Together they shaped the album’s warm, handmade sound.
The album brings together a long-standing circle of collaborators, many of whom have performed alongside Brooke in various projects over the past two decades. Core contributions include Jimmy Fitzner on guitar, John Nichols on bass, and Jon Kraft on drums. Additional textures are added by Mark Stover on pedal steel, Betse Ellis on fiddle, Rick Wheeler on saxophone, and Mike Tuley on guitar, keys, and percussion.

​The album also includes guest appearances from Anna St. Louis, Kevin Morby, and Suzannah Johannes—artists who have grown alongside Brooke within the creative communities of Kansas City and Lawrence.
